Relationship Advice whose is telling the truth?

i have a boyfriend and we have been together almost 2 and a half years now and a few months ago an ex from his past contacted me and told me that him and her had been talking and trying to decide if they were going to get back together.. she also said that he's been sleeping at her house as well as leaving her love notes on her doorstep and she asked me to tell him to stop calling her because she decided that she didn't want him anymore and that i should finally know the truth. well of course my boyfriend denies everything except for having contact with her in passing, for example in the grocery store. we live in a small town. im so angry and hurts and upset but i don't know what to believe. i saw no proof of notes but she says she has them but they dated years ago maybe she does have old notes i mean i don't know who is lying and all this happened about 2 months ago but im still sad and i feel like being in this relationship is now a waste of time because my trust has been abused. what should i do. does it sound like this girl might be lying???? look at it this way.you have not heard from her at all.then all of a sudden she is calling saying all these things.why would she wait all this time to start false accusations,start trouble to break you 2 up?i bet he has been doing all these so-called things.and when she decided she just wasn't interested,he kept bugging her.to the point where she called you.he is wrong for what he did.she is also wrong for going for a guy she knew had a gf.but if i were you i would feel betrayed and get rid of him.he is a cheater and a liar.
