Relationship advice?? what do you think is going on?

ok so heres the deal i have been best friend with this guy ben for 2 years and like most guy girl friendships i have had feelings for him for a good part of our friendship but he didnt feel quite as strongly so nothing ever came of it we snuggled and held hands sometimes but nothing else till we went on 5 day trip out of town to see my dad out of state the whole time we slept in the same bed and the night before we left we kissed and did that like all night now it almost 2 months later and we are still messing around but we hang out alot more and are alot closer now too i told him i consider us dating but he says he is not ready to call it that yet i know he is not interested in anyone else so do i just wait ? what do you think is going on?Relationship advice?? what do you think is going on?

Am I understanding you to say that you and this guy slept in the same bed for 5 days and you only kissed. Or did you get intimate. Anyway you say you are still messing around. What does that mean? You consider the two of you dating and he says he's not ready. If you were not intimate at your dad's then you shouldn't feel too bad, but if you were then you wanted something that he didn't want (relationship) yet he got something he did want,(sex) but not the relationship that would follow. If you want more from him than you are getting. Maybe you need to not be so close and let him come to you and say that he is ready to have a relationship. Boys want sex while girls want relationships. Like I said if you were not intimate give him some time and let him decide. Just back up a little. Now while he is saying that he is not ready. You need to know if he wants a relationship with you if not you need to hold hands with someone else.
