Relationship advice please. opinions needed!!?

I am a Senior, and the girl is a junior. We have never talked, but she told 2 of my friends that she thought i was cute. Since then (2 weeks ago) everybody has made a big deal out of it, so i havent talked to her. Seniors (me) recently graduated so i wont even bump into her anymore. I have her screenname, and I want to get to know her. What is the best way to go about this? If i try to do it through AIM, how can i work the conversation without it getting awkward since we have never talked? Thanks for the help.Relationship advice please. opinions needed!!?

Be direct. She has already put out her scent by telling 2 people she thinks you are cute.
Send her some revealing photos of yourself to break the ice.
Just send her a message telling her who you are and ask her how shes doing. See what her summer plans are. Ask her to do something you know she'd like.
youre a senior, just ask her for her number or give her yours. if there are any awkward silences, just tell her you have to go and youll talk to her later. shes probably nervous too. it should be easy.
just be straight up with her, tell her you think shes interesting and funny or whatever else and ask if she wants to hang out.

what are you doing for summer and maybe ask to chill with her, take her to her favorite resturant or just go for a drive somewhere you both have never been...

Ask her out to lunch or dinner, dummy. You have the advantage of being ';an older guy'; off the campus. If you miss out, you're a puss.
Oh just talk to her and stop torturing yourself. Theories, and theorists, abound, but there is nothing theoretical about attraction. If she likes you she'll respond, even if you stick your foot down your throat to your stomach.
