Relationship advice please?

I am 20 years old and have been married to my husband for just over a year now. we were together for over 4 years before we got married, and although everyone said we were too young we didn't listen. I did feel that maybe it was a mistake, but since I was extremely overweight and had very low self esteem, i didn't think anyone else would ever want me. After we got married my husband seemed to change, he would get very angry very easily, and start throwing things at me and smashing mirrors etc. Now he has also started getting angry at me if I go out with my friends ever for a few hours. Since I have lost alot of weight since we got married I am feeling so much happier and confident and it feels like he is punishing me for being happy. I do love him, but I cant imagine us ever being happy again. The only problem is, I know my mum would be so disappointed in me if I got a divorce....what should I do?Relationship advice please?
Divorce him and tell your mom if she thinks so much of a man that abuses you, then it should be no problem for him to move in with her as he greatly disappointed you! Relationship advice please?
Sweetie, your mom doesn't have to live with someone who tries to hurt you in an effort to bring you back down to your old, depressed self - and if she saw what was going on, I don't think she'd want you to, either. Until you can try and explain to her, though, muster up some of that ';I don't care what everyone else thinks'; courage from when you got married in the first place and get yourself out of this situation.
You should know the real reasons why your husband change his attitude towards you, then work to improve the situation from there. You may have to insist on him going to a counselor to manage his anger. In the mean time, you must continue to improve your self-esteem and weight control to make yourself more attractive to him, this may help??
well u should have a down to earth talk with your husband about why he's acting like that. if that doesn't solve the issue then try to see if he'll see a councilor because he might start doing things that will seem like nothing compared to throwing things at u. and if it still hasnt worked out then u shood get a divorce, ur mom will understand that u left an abusive and upsetting relationship
Seriously think about whether or not you want to stay married to this guy and if not, forget about what your mom thinks, she doesn't have to live with this individual who is obviously becoming abusive. If he's throwing things at you now imagine what he'll do later. Get out now while there is still time.
uh uh. this isn't about your mom or anyone else but you. you have to do what you think is best for you. if he is abusive, then leave. no if's an's or buts. just do it. you are valuable no matter what you weigh and no weight gives him permission to throw things at you. he is just lazy and doesn't want to put forth the work for you as a valuable woman. dump his laziness!!!!!!!!!
your are worried what mom will think of you if you divorce that abuser you are married to? who cares what she thinks, you are the one going through all the anger and all the hurt, leave him leave him now I'm sorry he doesn't I know what you are going through.
Therapy...he is threatened by you getting into shape...good for you! You need to be healthy and happy.

He has some serious anger issues...this is abusive behavior and DO NOT TOLERATE IT! When he acts this way...leave. If you have to leave more than once, never ever go back. Read the papers, honey...women get KILLED. No one ever thinks it will happen to them.

Read Taking Care of Me by Mary Kay Mueller
You must do what is best for you, not your mother. She might be disappointed but if he is abusing you she should be proud of you, having the strength to leave.
Hun youre not married to your Mom..... Try counseling with your husband. He may be angry because you look so good %26amp; he may be afraid of losing you. He shouldnt be angry, and he has to learn to deal with those feelings.
Your mom would be disappointed that you left an abuser? Because that is what your husband is. Leave him.
FACE IT!!! IT WAS A MISTAKE TO GET MARRIED SO YOUNG AND YOU GOT MARRIED FOR THE WRONG REASONS!!!

Get out, grow up and get on with your life.
sounds like an abusive relationship! Get out before he hurts you!
come over to my place, i got what you need to cheer you right up. We can then give him something to really be mad about.
hi i was married at 21 my wife was 20. its too eary to commit to something big. i mean everyone thinks they will together forever when they get married. I mean no one would get married if they think they'd get divorce later on!!!!

People do change. i think ur hasbant is jelous that u are loosing wheight. like u thought no one would want u. he feels the same way. if u leave him he wont find anyone. thats making him frausted and thats what making him angry. just sit down and tell him how you feel. hope it works out for u.

didnt work out for me. yep i let my family down i was separated just after 7 months of marriage. good luck
First you need to ask yourself and him if maybe he fears losing you now that you lost the weight. You would be surprised at how much this could be effecting your relationship.

Second, if you want to leave your marriage, this is your business. Your mother may very well be disappointed but it is not her marriage! Our moms are always going to be disappointed in something we do, may as well be this.

Try to see why he is truly acting this way. And try to work it out. But if it is a lost cause, don't feel guilty to your mom about it.

  • RELATIONSHIP ADVICE NEEDED!?

ok im really confused as to what to do with this situation. this guy and i met in august of this year and we had a thing and we liked eachother and all that. the big problem is tho he lives 40 minutes away from me, and i cant drive but he can. lately i have been thinking whether i should keep liking him cause hes amazing but when we are texting he takes forever to text back and doesnt show that much emotion or interest in me. is this guy just over me? should i move on? what should i do?

another problem- his friend likes me too. but he doesnt know it.RELATIONSHIP ADVICE NEEDED!?
Move on, honey. He's just not that into you. RELATIONSHIP ADVICE NEEDED!?
Well, I'm just assuming that you are a young person. Please do not take offense. As you grow older you will realize that we almost always answer our own questions. You wrote...';but when we are texting he takes forever to text back and doesn't show that much emotion or interest in me.'; This is your answer. I have been in my share of relationships and I had to learn a lot of things the hard way. If he is not showing interest in you then you can bet that he is over you. Don't waste your time, energy, or effort in pursuing this relationship. You will only be hurt in the end. Good luck.
i know a friend in the same situation where she lives near fairfax and he lives in belflower but everything is ok between them the thing is that she's not very faithful to him. if the doesnt show any interest try talking to him and if he doesnt understand the way you feel he isnt worth your time he should be dumped or worse. but seriously if he has a car and isnt using it to come and visit you thats one sign towards tellin you that he is just not the guy you should be pursuing
maybe you should let it slip that his friend likes you. then he'll get jealous and pay more attention to you!

but really it's not likely to work. long distance relationships are hard to begin with and especially hard when you're young. it's very likely that he has his mind on more conveniently located girls. maybe you should stop concentrating on him and take another look at the boys closer to you.
If your the one showing most of the emotion and effort. I would say stay back and see if he comes to you. Why throw yourself at him if he shows not a lot of interest? Your worth more than that right? About the friend. I wouldn't dabble in that. Would you want someone to turn to your friend instead of you? Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Take care and I hope this helped. Follow your heart and you will be fine.
for the first question i think u should just go and ask him to his face if not leave it be he will make a move after a little bit if not just go out with who ever you like:) if he makes a fuss over that then well i dont know tell him you moved on or get back with him. the other question i think u should wait and see what happens first
ok he isnt igmoring u. guys sometimes dont take the time to txt back to anyone. also txting doesnt have emotion. because u guys cant c eachtothers faces u can say, do, and feel watver u want wout that poerson noing. so im sure that he is busy

and come on! hes only 40 min away im sure ulll work something out!
well its kinda hard to say

because the best thing u can do is talk to him. if he doesnt care if will be easey to tell. but if he is the amazing guy yo say he is then you should fight for what u want.

on the other hand if u are saying that u can jsut get over him how important is he truely to you?

and o yeah dont date the friend. never turns out well.

    best of luck to you.
You should get away from both of them. The driving thing, is nothing. That would work out. However, his lack of interest and passion is a HUGE red flag. Walk away now. Walk quickly. Don't look back.

If he doesn't come back looking for you showing love, passion and interest, move on.
The problem is, you shouldn't date. Just find good friends. The best choice for a mate is your best friend. If you can't even have really good guy bestfriends, you WONT be able to handle a boyfriend or husband. Well long enough till he gets what he wants at least..
Just move on...if he want you, he'll come running back like a little puppy. Playing around with a humans mind is the worst thing you can do. Good luck!
TALK TO HIM , COMPARE THEM BOTH , USE A QUIZ ABOUT GUYS IN MAGS GOOD LUCK WITH THE GUYS
move on if you dont like him find someone you love!!!!

    just get someone new!!!!
Talk to him, and ask him how he feels,

if he doesn't feel the same move on.

if he does, try to make it work.
im not good with relationshiops...just so you know

    Relationship advice, help?!?

I'm not actually in a relationship. Rather a really strong friendship.

We constantly think about each other and miss each other when the other isn't there. We have so much in common and we clicked as soon as met one another.

I've never had a man treat me with so much respect before, he's such a gentlemen and always does nice little gestures like buy me roses and send really cute text messages. And we constantly tell each other we love each other in a friendshipy way. We ended up properly making out not long ago and he treated me and me so preciously and selflessly and touched me so tenderly.

I feel so comfortable and at ease with him and he's such a good person - doesn't drink, smoke, go clubbing and he's really family oriented. Personality wise he's all I've ever looked for in a man and I never thought I'd find it. And we talk for hours and hours on the phone at night and we have such a laugh. He's the type of person you'd be proud to introduce your parents to. He's such a loving person who lives for people and making the world a better place. What we have is like something out of a movie but despite that I'm madly confused. Theres no chemistry whatsoever, no spark. I really wish there was because it's the only thing thats lacking.

I don't know whether inside I'm being really shallow and it's just his physical appearance putting me off. Looks have never carried much importance to me but now I'm starting wonder whether that is a matter of choice or whether they just do or don't.

Should I try to find the spark and chemistry or just give up and remain friends? He's a great person, very wealthy and from a lovely family. We always tell each other how we couldn't live without one another and we've both admitted we'd be slightly jealous if the other was to get into a relationship.

I'm really stuck on what to do! Pleaaaase help! :)Relationship advice, help?!?
You hit on a very important point. No matter how great a guy is you MUST have a physical attraction or it will only be a friendship. You could tell him you'd like to take it further to see if it could become serious, but at the end of the day if he does not turn you on in the physical best to be bff's.

    Relationship advice (especially from guys)?

I've been dating someone for two months now. We have somewhat of a long distance relationship (we live and hour and a half apart), and so we only see each other once a week (we take turns driving to see each other). Generally we talk on the phone three times in between dates. It's been going okay so far, and I enjoy his company, and he seems to enjoy mine. But I'm wondering if I should ask him if the distance between us bothers him and if he thinks we can sustain a possible serious relationship in the future given the distance. I'll admit, I also really want to know how he feels about me, because right now I really have no idea. And I'd really like to know! Should I bring up the long distance issue or just let it go for now? I don't want to freak him out, but I also don't really want to continue dating someone long-distance if he isn't that into me. Any advice?Relationship advice (especially from guys)?
It's really hard for us guys to maintain a steady relationship being really far from the person we are starting to fall for.

We do like talking about it ASAP other than hearing about it later in the relationship.

And it does get pretty lonely at nights and boring if the phone is our relationship not body wise.

If I were him, I would pick you up, go spend a whole day with you and talk about it over a calm place.

It's either end it or start it.

Good luckRelationship advice (especially from guys)?
A long distance relationship is always difficult, busybee, but the issues can be overcome. The main issue for me was: would she leave where she lives to live with me, or would I leave where I live to live with her? In my last relationship, the answer was no for both of us. Issues like this are what you should consider before taking the relationship any closer to commitment.
wait another month and then ask :) and when u bring up the issue make sure that he knows that u're not trying to break up with him cuz he could misinterpret ur reasons to bring it up
what i would be is not to bring it up...but bring up solutions to it for example talk about ';why dont i sleep over today or you sleep over at my house'; if its because of jobs or somthing like that its understandable...as for the does he like you thing just ask him if hes into a serious relationship right now and if he approves of this one...also dont let him answer on the spot tell him you have to go and to tell you tomorrow that way he'll have time to actually think about it!!
Might as well ask him how he feels. If he is interested the distance won't matter unless it matters to you. 2 months is a good time to see where you are.
bring it up, if he cares he will try to resolve it somehow
well this is a hard question but if i where you i would ask him to marry me already haha
I understand where your coming from...

I know your prob' afraid your gonna freak him out by being straight with him, and asking, But I think you should come clean and ask him, what he thinks???

I reckon he's prob thinking the same thing 2 be honest!!!! If you dont ask your head will be wrecked, wondering where its going with you guys...

Pluck up the courage and ask Him - Definitely ('',)
one of the most important points of a relationship is communication. you should tell him how you feel and what you think about it. if he's worth youur time he won't mind talking about it. an hour and a half really isn't bad, it'll help you enjoy the time you do get together and give you an appropriate amount of time apart. being together too much ruins most relationships. the fact that you're that distance just means you have to maintain communication and be expressive of how you feel.

and be clear about it. don't make it seem like more than it is, just say you've been seeing eachother for two months and you just wanna know what he thinks about things. do it over the internet or something so you'll both be able to collect your thoughts properly in the conversation. i know that sounds lame, but people can freeze up in person and not know what to say because they feel on the spot or under pressure.

    Relationship advice please?

i have been dating my highschool sweetheart for 10 yrs. we were 15 when we met and now living together for 3 years. we have had our ups and downs. but no doubt that i love him.

i am very laid back. i dont control him or tell him what to do. we have our problems. but we do not really fight much. no problems with money. no problems in the bedroom. he spends his money wisely and gets whatever he wants pretty much. no problems i can think of.

here is where im needing advice. i never forced the issue of getting married. we met young, so i played it off that we needed t grow up. then we started to live together. my excuse then was, we should live together a while and then consider marrage. i wanted him to ask me on his own time. 2 years passed and then gradually i started to bring it up. here is the kicker. he agreed 2 years ago that i could stop birthcontrol and we could have a baby. but when the talk about getting married came up, he will talk about a wedding and the things he would want and not want. but it would never go further then that.

a year ago i told him by our 10 year anniversary of dating, i want to see my engagement ring. i think after 10 years i deserve this. i kept telling him this and making jokes about this. well, october 19 came and went. no ring. when i talk to him about this, the subject always changes. he will watch tv or have something he has to do. i was very very upset and he doesn't understand why. he wont even give me a reason. we both lost our good jobs last year and now were both going to school and working lower paying jobs. but he keeps making comments when the bank account gets low that if he ever needs money, he has plenty of things he could sell. when we were not working, he got a 4,000 toy car. so its not a money issue?

how can i get him to understand my point of view on this? i don't want to force him to marry me or be demanding. but after 10 years, i think its time we make some decisions and grow up. or even show me the ring as a promise that things are moving forward. i have never asked him for anything expensive. im not that girl who gets expensive gifts or asks for money. so i don't see what the big deal is.Relationship advice please?
i think it very well may be that hes not happy w his career and it is about moneyRelationship advice please?
Don't beat around the bush. If you think guys don't get it then don't play games, be honest and direct. Tell him basically exactally what you've told us. It's been 10 years, you've always included marriage when thinking of your future with him -- it's where you want it to go. It's an uncomfortable subject for him so he may have some selective hearing -- this is why you can consider being very direct and honest.

Let him know it's an important issue to you. You want to get married, you want to have a family, you want it to be with him.

Asking for a ring on the 10th anniversary is kind of like hinting, and it's not opening the topic for conversation. Ask him how he feels about marriage, try to get him talking about how he feels on the subject. Let him know this is a serious topic for you.

This makes sure it's not a communication problem. If you understand each other and after a week or so he still avoids the subject then it's very likely he doesn't want to get married. Instead of hinting/naming a date you can together set up a plan, it could be an amount of time or after certain finances, but don't let it be a hazy always the next day, week, etc thing.

I hate guys like this who wait so long -- I'm a guy btw. -- I guess I can't identify with what's going on with them. Hope that helps...
the best you can do is just sit him down and tell him whats on your mind

    Relationship advice-Dealing with controlling partner!?

I am currently in a relationship that might not work out because of the controlling nature of my boyfriend. I love him, but I'm a grown woman. He seems to think that I need constant supervision and nagging. I am almost 6 months pregnant, but that's no reason for him to be so darn controlling. He asks me every day what I ate for every meal, etc. and doesn't want me to go to my brother's house, because he has a big dog that might jump on me, etc. What can I do to make him quit being like this? I do love him, but I don't know if I can live my whole life with him being like this!Relationship advice-Dealing with controlling partner!?
    Yikes- How annoying!!!!

You need to say just that. That he is driving you nuts! And you are a smart woman who makes smart decisions, afterall, thats why he is with you, right! Relationship advice-Dealing with controlling partner!?
He's not going to change unless HE realizes he must. His need for control is fear-based; he fears you making your own decisions. Why? Because he fears you won't need him. Tell him you are entirely capable

without his supervision. Do you WANT to live your life with him in this style?
do it back too him. Use that against him. Or write down (secretly) everytime he says something and the date and time. After about a week if you have a nice long list . Show it too him. Let him see on paper how he actually acts.

Relationship advice? dont worry this is short and easy!?

I am literally almost in love with my Best friend of 5 years.

hes moving in a couple weeks.

The other day him and his little bro (5 yrs.) walked me to the bus.

    Before i left, i asked ';would your brother get mad if i kissed you (jokingly) and he said ';i dont know, but he might tell my mom.';

so i said maybe next time and left.

Do you think i should try a kiss again some other time, or should i wait and see what he does now that he knows how i feel?Relationship advice? dont worry this is short and easy!?
He's moving soon (I'm guessing far away) so I think you should go for it before it's too late. You may not have a chance to kiss him for a very long time. Just get alone with him, make sure he knows how you feel and see what happens.

    answer mine?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>Relationship advice? dont worry this is short and easy!?
i actually fell in love with my best friend and what i did is made is so we hung out a lot more, and seeing as your best friend is moving then it would be a good idea to anyways... but then i talked to him about it ( via text so that it wasn't awkward ) and he ended up feeling the same way. so i think you just need to come out about it.
